    Audio review.
Narrated by: Eilidh Beaton and Matt Bates.

In a bid to step outside my comfort zone, I gave this gripping thriller a try.

Dominic and Grace are, on the surface, happily married. Then Grace stumbles across her loving husband, in the garden shed, doing the dirty deed with another woman – temptress Camilla, a lady with her own agenda.
What does Grace do? Well as any rational woman would do – she locks them in!
As the book progresses, secrets are revealed. Maybe Grace’s past is coming back to haunt her.
Maybe it’s not just Dirty Dominic who is in the wrong.

As I said, this isn’t my usual genre, but I can honestly say I was gripped from the start and on more than one occasion I found myself holding my breath.

The story is fast paced and develops well as the book progresses.

The characters are complex, vulnerable and damaged, but this also made them interesting.

This story really doesn’t pause for breath. It’s gripping, heart stopping, full of twists and turns – almost all of which I didn’t see coming.

I loved Daniel Hurst’s writing style. It’s strong and straightforward, while all the while reeling you in until you just can’t put the book down.

A fantastic read, that will keep you on the edge of your seat and turning those pages.

Normally a phone call that turns out to be a wrong number is quickly forgotten, but when Davey (in America) accidentally calls Hannah (in the Uk) there is an instant spark of something special between the pair.
Can you really fall in love with someone you have never met? It seems that just maybe these two have. Of course if it were that simple the book would barely pass two chapters.
Life has other plans for these two and throws some real curve balls their way.
Will love find a way? Or will life lead Hannah and Davey on to separate paths?

MY THOUGHTS: I was excited to read this book. I loved the cover and the title.
It was easy to get into. I was hooked quickly and raced through it. I NEEDED to know if Davey and Hannah would make it.

Elle Cook has an easy writing style. It flows effortlessly and draws beautiful pictures in your mind.

I was rooting for Hannah and Davey. I liked them both and wanted them to find their happily ever after. Obviously I won’t tell you if they do or don’t make it, but, oh my lord, what a journey they go on.

Moving and tender. Heartbreaking and painfully sad in parts.
Ultimately this is a heart tingling page turner and an utterly gorgeous read.

    MY RATING: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

FORMATS AVAILABLE: ebook, audio and paperback.

    PUBLICATION DATE: 24/11/22

MY REVIEW- This is book 3 in Hannah Ellis’ Isles Of Scilly series. It can easily be read as a stand alone story, but I’d always suggest reading a series in order so as to get the most out of each book.

Beth and her five year old daughter Ellie, have had a soggy old time on their holiday. As they are due to leave for home, the weather perks up.

When offered the opportunity to extend their holiday for a few more days, Beth and Ellie jump at the chance to do so.

Trystan, is on his way home to the island. Finding that his mother has rented out his cottage to Beth, he is forced to stay in his family home.

As Trystan and Beth get to know eachother, there is a clear spark between them.

Beth lives in Plymouth and Trystan is based in London.

Will what they have be just a summer romance? Or can they find a way to make their blossoming relationship work?

This is another feel good story from Hannah Ellis. I’ve loved this series so far, and I’m looking forward to book four being released in January 2023.

I warmed easily to the characters in this book and the sense of community is delightful.

This isn’t a complicated story. It’s light and fresh, which sometimes, is just what I want to read.

The Summer Escape is a gorgeous read. It has a fantastic sense of community, a heartwarming romance and is just overflowing with glorious sunshine.

A five star, warm the cockles of your heart read.

    The Summer Escape

Single-mother Beth desperately needs a break.

Grieving the loss of her mother, she sets off to the Isles of Scilly with her five-year-old daughter, Ellie.

Their holiday cottage is utterly charming, but it’s meeting Trystan – the owner of the cottage – that

    makes Beth’s stay so perfect.

When their holiday fling starts to feel like something more, she knows she’s in trouble. Her life is in

Plymouth, while he lives in London. Besides, Trystan has already admitted he’s not ready for a family.

Is he prepared to take a leap of faith for Beth and Ellie? And with the odds stacked against them, can

they find a way to make their relationship last beyond the lazy days of summer?

I’m thrilled to join the blog tour for @HeidiStephens’ new book, The Only Way Is Up.

Daisy has had a successful twenty five year tv career. Then she suffers a mortifying and very public wardrobe malfunction.
Hoping to let things die down, Daisy heads off to a small Cotswold village, where she plans to do some writing while she lies low.
Life takes some unexpected turns for Daisy and she still has many hurdles to clear. However her retreat from the limelight may be just what Daisy needs, and she may even find her happy ever after while she’s at it.

I adored this book. Daisy is a likeable main character, who I was rooting for from the start.
Tom is a man with a heartbreaking past and he deserved nothing less than a happily ever after.
The other characters in the story are a fabulous mix of colourful souls.

TheOnlyWayIsUp skips along at a good pace and kept me interested and turning those pages.

There is a very sweet love story at the heart of this book, but it is not the main focus of the story. There is so much more going on in this fun read.

I loved how inclusive this book is, without making a song and dance about it. Just the way things should be.

HeidiStephens writes beautifully. The words flow effortlessly between the pages.

If you’d like to read a light hearted, feel good story that will leave you with a smile on your face and warmth in your heart, you won’t go far wrong with this charming and delightful tale.

Twenty-five years in showbiz is a good run, right? Because after tonight, when her small (read: huge) wardrobe malfunction was broadcast to the nation’s living rooms, Daisy’s time in the spotlight might be over.

It’s all about damage control now, and Daisy needs an escape route. Fast. Especially when her sporting hero boyfriend publicly announces their engagement – the one she hasn’t actually agreed to tell the world about.

All she needs is space from prying eyes and time for the press to get bored and move on. But the only place she can run to at such short notice is the Cotswolds cottage she used to own with her ex-husband. Not ideal, but at least it’s in the middle of nowhere and close to her teenage daughter.

Seems like a perfect plan, apart from the person selling stories to the tabloids about her and Tom, the local headmaster.

But that’s just a rumour, right?

The perfect uplifting and feel-good romantic comedy that will have you snorting with laughter. If you love Sophie Ranald, Catherine Walsh, and Mhairi Macfarlane, you won’t want to miss this!
